## Building and Business, pg.
There is more building going on in Trinidad to day than at any time heretofore in its history. Besides the business houses that are seen on Main and Commercial streets that are being hurried to completion, dwelling houses are being erected in every part of the town. On the north side alone there are ten building in the hands of mechanics, and on the south side they are to be seen on nearly every street. The water works building, at the foot of Convent street, is progressing rapidly, and will be an ornament to the town. Champion's new saw mill, Treat's brick machine, the planing mills of Barnes Brothers and Lindenmath & Co., are running day and night, and every team in town is busy hauling building material.
Besides, we notice that the express are kept busy. The furniture dealers sell bills of furniture every day. New stores are seen on the drays going to their purchasers. The hotels are crowded daily. Freight trains come in and discharge their enormous cargoes for our merchants. The merchants are busy. The water contractor, Mr. Chappell, has scores of orders ahead for connections with the water mains, and business is lively on every hand.
Trinidad is "booming," and will continue to boom. It is and will be the second commercial city of Colorado - the supply point for Southern Colorado - the Kansas City of New Mexico - the boss town south of the Arkansas.
